Chicken Tacos

  • Take 4-6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts and a 16-ounce jar of salsa
  • Toss them in a slow cooker for about six hours on low
  • Once done cooking shred meat
  • From here set the table with taco shells, sour cream, and cheese. Let the family top tacos to their liking. Enjoy!  


Chili

  • Though there’s no shortage of complicated chili recipes, a simple chili recipe is just as delish. 
  • Brown 1-2 pounds of ground beef and after throw it in a slow cooker 
  • Add 20 oz of canned diced tomatoes
  • Add three cans of whichever kidney beans are on sale
  • Add generous portions of granulated onion and red chili powder
  • Stir and allow it to sit for 30-45 minutes before serving 


Spaghetti & Meatballs 

  • Bring a pot of water to boil 
  • Add noodles and boil for 12 minutes exactly before straining 
  • Season your ground beef with a few pinches of breadcrumbs, garlic, and granulated onion 
  • Roll them up and bake them until brown 
  • Top with a store-bought marinara or make your own with tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, and your favorite seasoning


Homemade Chicken Soup 

  • Debone a store-bought rotisserie chicken 
  • Dice up some carrots and celery (the amount is up to you) 
  • Optional:  Dice up potatoes (add lemon slices for extra kick)
  • Toss them all into a large pot and simmer in chicken broth 
  • Allow a few minutes to sit before serving in soup bowl 


Grilled Cheese 

  • Butter two slices of bread on one side 
  • Place two slices of American singles cheese on each slice 
  • Take one slice of muenster and add it to the party
  • Brown on both sides
  • You can serve right away (the sooner the better, actually) 


Pulled Pork 

  • Unless you have a large family, you may want to ask the butcher to cut your pork butt in half for you. 
  • Throw that half into a slow cooker with a bottle of your favorite barbecue sauce 
  • Let cook for 6-8 hours until nice and tender 
  • Place meat on a cutting board and use recommended shredding tool listed in this article 
  • Tip:  Serve with rolls to make pulled pork sliders 


Beef Stroganoff

  • Dice one tri tip, put it in the slow cooker with two cups of canned or fresh mushrooms and a cup of beef broth 
  • Add a tablespoon each of garlic powder and onion powder 
  • After about 6 hours on low, add ¼ cup sour cream
  • Serve over egg noodles
